Seattle Supersonics' New Name - Blog tmdfilms.tv: "Well it's now official. The NBA team formally known as the Seattle Supersonics will now be known as the Oklahoma City Thunder. The new name and logo were presented today (Wednesday). They should be ready for the NBA season this fall. Other names considered were Wind, Barons, Marshalls, Energy and Bison. We can all see how Thunder ended up being the choice. The mascot and uniforms will be revealed in a few weeks. Until then, this is King Drell signing out.
